Nice to meet you

I am an SDE at Amazon in Seattle. My day-to-day is Java, some TypeScript, a lot of CloudWatch. The work is mostly about moving data between places without losing anything along the way. It is less glamorous than it sounds and more interesting than it looks.

Before Amazon I was in India for a few years. I started at Nucleus Software writing Java for a bank's loan processing module - my first real job and my first real production outage. Then I moved to Deloitte working on the Salesforce side, mostly admin and Apex. After that I came to the US for my masters at the University at Buffalo. Grew up before that in Hyderabad and a smaller town called Thorrur.
